Sunday Morning Worship Live

This powerful message takes us on a journey from the Garden of Eden to the present day, revealing how God has always desired to dwell among His people. We discover that Solomon's magnificent temple wasn't an original design but a permanent version of Moses' tabernacle, a mobile tent that traveled with the Israelites through the wilderness. The decorations of both structures intentionally echoed Eden, with carved fruit trees, golden lampstands resembling forests, and images of plants and animals. This wasn't mere aesthetics but profound theology: God's dwelling place was meant to restore what was lost in the fall. The truly revolutionary insight comes when we understand that Jesus became the ultimate tabernacle, the temple that moves. John's Gospel tells us the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us, bringing heaven to earth through His ministry of healing, liberation, and restoration. But the story doesn't end with Christ's ascension. Instead, it begins a new chapter where we, the church, become God's mobile temple. We are called to bring heaven to earth in our workplaces, neighborhoods, and relationships. We don't wait for people to come to us; we go to them, carrying God's presence wherever we travel. This transforms our understanding of mission and ministry, making every interaction an opportunity to fulfill God's ancient promise: I will live among my people.
