Sunday Morning Worship Live
This powerful message challenges us to confront the walls of hostility we've built within our hearts and communities. Drawing from Solomon's temple dedication and Jesus's clearing of the temple courts, we're reminded that God's house was always meant to be for everyone - not just certain races, genders, or social classes. The temple courtyard, originally an open space where all nations could gather in worship, had become divided by walls separating Gentiles from Jews, women from men, and laypeople from priests. Tragically, we see these same divisions reflected in our modern church, with 87% of congregations remaining homogeneous. We segregate based on race, economics, politics, worship style, and countless other factors. Yet Christ's sacrifice on the cross shattered the ultimate wall - the one between sinful humanity and holy God. If Jesus broke down that barrier for us, how can we justify maintaining walls against others? We are called to embody radical inclusion, extending the same reckless love, forgiveness, and acceptance we've received. As temples of the Holy Spirit ourselves, we carry the mission of uniting all people in God's transformative grace.
