Rev. Matthew Schultz
Pastor Matthew Schultz was raised in Colorado and is a long-suffering Denver Broncos fan.
He married Kristin in 2000 and the two started a family shortly thereafter. In 2006, Pastor Schultz graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and was ordained. That summer, he, Kristin and their two kids moved to a rural town in mid-Michigan where Matthew served as pastor at Our Savior Lutheran Church for five years.
Since that first call in Michigan, Pastor Schultz has served God’s church in St. Louis, Missouri and in Upstate New York. In July 2022, he was installed as pastor at Ascension.
More than just a Broncos fan, Pastor Schultz enjoys watching sports of all kinds. He also loves puttering around the yard, taking on home improvement projects and cooking bbq in his smoker. He and Kristin like to take drives, explore new places, and cook dinner together.
