Day 3

Day 3: Faithful Investment Produces Lasting Fruit
Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:5-9
Paul teaches that those who plant and those who water are servants working together, but it is God alone who gives the growth. Every worker will receive a reward according to their labor, because all are fellow workers in God's field.

Devotional:
A group of families drove an hour and ten minutes, twice a week, for years, so their children could be discipled well. At the time it felt like sacrifice. Looking back, it was seed. Five young people went through confirmation together. All five are still attending church as adults. The statistical probability of that outcome, according to general research, is just over one percent. But God does not operate on probability. He honors faithfulness. The families who made that drive were planting. They could not see the harvest from the road. Neither can you always see the fruit of your investment in the lives of others. But God does. He is keeping track of every seed sown in faithfulness.

Reflection Question: What investment in someone else's spiritual life have you made that you have not yet seen bear fruit?

Practical Application: Recommit today to one act of faithful investment in another person's faith journey, whether that is a phone call, a commitment to pray for them daily, or showing up consistently in their life without expecting immediate results.
