Day 1: God Builds What We Cannot Imagine
Reading: Ephesians 3:20-21
Paul declares that God is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, and that glory belongs to him in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations.
Devotional:
A consultant once told a small congregation they should consider becoming a ministry for empty nesters. There were no children. There was no visible future. But God was not finished. He rarely works within the boundaries of human assessment. The same power that raised Christ from the dead was quietly at work in that room, in those families, in that community. When we look at our circumstances and calculate what is possible, we are measuring with the wrong instrument. God does not work from our projections. He works from his purposes. Where do you see a situation in your life that looks limited by human standards? Surrender that assessment to the God who specializes in doing the unimaginable.
Reflection Question: What dream or calling have you dismissed as impossible that God may be quietly preparing?
Practical Application: Write down one area of your life or your church where you have allowed human logic to replace faith. Spend five minutes in prayer, specifically asking God to expand your vision beyond what you can currently see.
