Day 5: Working for the Lord

Devotional: Paul's instruction in Colossians is both simple and staggering. Whatever you do, do it with your whole heart, as though you are working directly for the Lord. Not for the approval of a supervisor. Not for a paycheck alone. Not for recognition. For the Lord. This reframes every task, every interaction, every ordinary Tuesday. The work you do in your community, in your home, in your profession — it is not separate from your faith. It is an expression of it. Paul reminds the Corinthians that labor done in the Lord is never wasted. The enemy wants you to believe your work is meaningless. The King says otherwise. Your work is eternally significant.
