Day 1: The Word at the Center
Reading: Deuteronomy 6:4-9 -- Moses instructs Israel to hold God's commands close to their hearts, repeat them to their children, and weave them into every part of daily life, from waking to sleeping, from home to the road.
Devotional: Faith is not accidental. It is cultivated. God's instruction to ancient Israel was not simply to believe privately but to speak, to teach, and to make his word visible in the rhythms of ordinary life. The door frame. The wrist. The morning. The evening. None of this was meant to be mechanical ritual. It was meant to be a life so saturated with God's word that the next generation could not help but encounter it. Consider your own daily rhythms. Where does God's word have room to speak? Where might you create space, even a small one, for the next generation to hear it spoken aloud?
