Day 1: The Danger of Self-Reliance
Reading: Daniel 4:28-37
Devotional: King Nebuchadnezzar's downfall began when he surveyed his kingdom and declared, "Look what I have built by my own power." How often do we stand at the edge of our accomplishments—our careers, families, or finances—and forget the One who gave us breath to achieve them? Prosperity can be spiritually dangerous because it whispers the lie that we're self-sufficient. When life is comfortable, we stop crying out to God. But true wisdom recognizes that every good gift comes from above. Today, take inventory of your blessings. Can you trace each one back to God's provision? The antidote to pride isn't self-deprecation; it's remembering that apart from Him, we can do nothing.
