Day 5

Day 5: We Are the Temple
Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 1 Peter 2:4-10

Devotional: The physical temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, but God's presence didn't leave the earth. Instead, He made His home in us. You are the temple of the living God. This is both an incredible privilege and a weighty responsibility. If you are the temple, then you are the place where people should be able to encounter God. The temple was meant for everyone—no walls, no exclusions, no "members only" signs. Your life, your home, your heart should be accessible places where anyone can experience God's grace, love, and acceptance. This doesn't mean compromising truth, but it does mean extending the same radical hospitality that God extended to you. Today, ask yourself: Does my life look like a temple for everyone, or have I erected walls that keep certain people out? Remember, the mission isn't to judge who's worthy of God's presence—it's to introduce everyone to the God who makes us all worthy through Christ.
