Day 2: Breaking Down Walls of Hostility
Reading: Ephesians 2:11-22
Devotional: Paul reminds us that Christ "has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility." The walls we construct—based on race, economics, politics, or personal grievances—are demolished at the cross. Jesus didn't die for "people like us"; He died for everyone. When we harbor division in our hearts, we rebuild what Christ tore down. Examine your own heart today: What walls have you constructed? Who have you excluded from your circle of grace? Perhaps it's someone from a different political party, economic background, or someone who simply annoys you. Remember, if God has reconciled you to Himself through Christ's blood, you have no right to keep others at arm's length. The work of tearing down walls begins in your own heart.
