Day 4

Day 4: Confronting Our Own Indifference
Reading: Romans 1:28-32; James 1:22-25

Devotional: Paul's description of a culture indifferent to God sounds uncomfortably familiar: sexual immorality, greed, quarreling, broken promises, lack of mercy. Before pointing fingers at "those people," we must examine our own hearts. Where have we become indifferent? Do we dismiss certain sins as "no big deal"? Do we consider God's Word outdated or irrelevant to modern life? Have we become comfortable living lies instead of embracing truth? Indifference creeps in slowly—a skipped Bible reading here, an ignored conviction there, a rationalized compromise elsewhere. James warns against merely hearing God's Word without doing it. Today, identify one area where you've grown indifferent. Confess it honestly. Then take one concrete step toward active obedience. God's grace empowers us to move from apathy to action.
