Day 2

Day 2: Ancient Hope for Every Generation
Reading: Isaiah 2:1-5 -- The prophet envisions a future where God reigns, conflict ceases, and all nations walk together in the Lord's light.

Devotional: Isaiah wrote these words into a world that looked remarkably like our own -- a nation divided, leaders consumed by self-interest, the poor overlooked, and the future uncertain. Yet into that darkness, God spoke a vision of swords becoming plow blades and wars becoming a distant memory. This was not wishful thinking. It was a declaration of what God intends for his creation. The same God who spoke through Isaiah speaks today. His purposes have not shifted. His vision has not dimmed. When the world around you feels irreparably broken, return to this passage and remember: God is not finished, and his kingdom is still advancing.

Reflection: Where do you need to trust God's long-term purposes over your short-term fears?
