Day 2

Day 2: Faithful Through the Pit
Reading: Genesis 50:19-21 — Joseph, speaking to his brothers who had sold him into slavery, declares that what they intended for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish the saving of many lives.

Devotional: Joseph did not arrive at his purpose without first enduring the pit, the slave market, a false accusation, and years in prison. At no point along that road did the destination look like the one God had promised. Yet Joseph's story reveals a God who works not around suffering but through it. The evil that others intend does not have the final word. God's purpose is not derailed by betrayal, injustice, or abandonment. If you find yourself in a pit today, take courage. God has not forgotten where you are, and He has not abandoned the plan.

Reflection: Is there a painful chapter in your story that you have not yet been able to see God's hand in? Bring that chapter honestly before Him today.
