Day 3

Day 3: The Wisdom of the Cross
Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:18-25; Colossians 2:2-3

Devotional: The world's wisdom often contradicts God's wisdom. Nowhere is this more evident than at the cross. To human eyes, Jesus' crucifixion appeared to be defeat, foolishness, weakness. Yet God's "foolishness" is wiser than human wisdom, and God's "weakness" is stronger than human strength.
At the cross, God demonstrated the ultimate wisdom: love conquers through sacrifice, not force. Victory comes through surrender, not domination. Life springs from death. This is the wisdom hidden in Christ—all your mistakes, confusion, and failures were placed on Jesus and totally forgiven. You are made God's beloved child not through your wisdom but through His grace.
This changes everything. You don't need to have all the answers or make perfect decisions to be loved by God. Your worth isn't determined by your wisdom but by His sacrifice. From this secure foundation of unconditional love, you can now seek wisdom without fear of failure, knowing you're already accepted and cherished.
