Day 2: Confusion in a Changing World
Reading: James 1:5-8; Proverbs 3:5-6
Devotional: We live in a world of constant change—new technologies, shifting relationships, financial pressures, and endless voices telling us what to do. It's exhausting and confusing. You're not alone in feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about the right path forward.
James offers stunning encouragement: if any of you lacks wisdom, simply ask God, who gives generously without finding fault. God doesn't shame you for not knowing. He doesn't criticize your confusion. Instead, He invites you to come to Him, acknowledging that He sees your struggle and wants to guide you.
The key is trust. Proverbs reminds us not to lean on our own understanding but to acknowledge Him in all our ways. This means resisting the urge to figure everything out independently. Bring your confusion about parenting, marriage, finances, or relationships directly to God. Ask specifically. Then trust that He will make your paths straight, even when you can't see the full picture yet.
