Day 5: The Forgiven Who Forgive
Reading: Colossians 3:12-14
Devotional: Paul does not ask the church to forgive out of sheer moral effort. He grounds the command in identity. You are chosen, loved, and holy. Because of who you are in Christ, you bear with one another and extend forgiveness freely. The playground lesson and the gospel lesson are the same: the relationship matters more than the argument. The person in front of you -- the one who hurt you, the one who disappointed you -- is someone God is also pursuing with the same relentless mercy he has shown you. Go and forgive. Not because it is easy, but because you are forgiven.
