Day 4: Standing in the Gap
Reading: Romans 8:31-39
Devotional: Jonathan stood between David and Saul's wrath, pleading for mercy on his friend's behalf. This beautiful picture points us to Jesus, our ultimate mediator, who stands between us and the righteous judgment we deserve. Even now, Jesus intercedes for you before the Father, His wounds speaking mercy over your sins. Nothing—not death, not life, not angels or demons, not your past or your future—can separate you from this love. Your friend Jesus has positioned Himself in the gap, and His sacrifice is sufficient. Today, rest in the security of knowing you have an advocate with the Father. And consider: who needs you to stand in the gap for them? Who needs your prayers, your defense, your support?
