Day 1: Words That Wound, Words That Heal
Reading: Proverbs 18:21; James 3:1-12
Devotional: The tongue holds extraordinary power—the power of life and death. Today, pause and consider the scars you may carry from careless words spoken over you, perhaps decades ago. Those wounds remind us of our responsibility. But also remember the words that set your life on course—the encouragement from a teacher, coach, or loved one. God's Word comes to heal the wounds inflicted by harsh speech. Through Christ, you receive words of ultimate value: "You are worthy. You are forgiven. You are loved." As one who has received healing words, you are now called to speak them. Today, ask God to guard your tongue and make your words a fountain of life to those around you.
