Day 5: Carried Up Calvary
Reading: Luke 23:26-49; Hebrews 12:1-3
Devotional: Jesus descended one mountain only to ascend another: Calvary. There, with a criminal on each side, He was tested again. Would He come down and save Himself? No. He stayed, carrying you up that mountain with Him. On Calvary's summit, you meet God face-to-faceānot in judgment but in mercy. There you hear God's voice speaking directly to you: "You are forgiven. You are loved. You are mine." Every sin, every failure, every shame was nailed to that cross. Jesus carried you to the place where heaven and earth meet, where justice and mercy kiss, where death becomes life. You didn't climb up; you were carried. Today, rest in this truth: your salvation is complete. You stand on the mountaintop not by your effort but by His grace. Live from this victory, not for it.
